During the course of his research for his forthcoming book on creatures, Stephane Granzotto, a French photographer and filmmaker, stumbled across something fascinating. He discovered the whales’ sleeping habits. Several of these animals rest in a vertical position deep under the ocean, making it appear as if they are standing. A study published in 2008 revealed that no one was aware of the fact that they were sleeping. No one had noticed or documented it u ntil the photographer discovered it.
